This is an exhibition of renewal, wisdom, and deep connection to the cycles of country.
Betty Mula and Betty Campbell, both grandmothers, cultural Elders, and lifelong teachers, have spent much of their lives passing down knowledge, caring for family, and guiding their communities. Now, they are embracing this season of creation—leaning into art as another way of sharing their stories for future generations.
Mula’s paintings are bold and full of life, capturing the strength and knowledge of trees—silent storytellers of the land, whispering of water, seasons, and time. Campbell’s work moves with the energy of dance and song, expressing the rhythm of Country and the spirit of women’s ceremony. Together, their paintings echo the natural cycles of existence, in tune with the land’s own rhythms of growth, change, and renewal.
Like blossoms emerging after rain, their art is an offering—vibrant, fleeting, yet deeply rooted in the energy of country. It carries forward the knowledge they have always shared, now painted onto canvas, to be carried into the future.
