Galería de las Misiones is pleased to announce its upcoming exhibition featuring the graphic work of Miguel Ángel Pareja. A key figure in Uruguayan modern art, Pareja’s contributions to abstraction and experimentation in printmaking remain highly relevant today. This exhibition offers a unique opportunity to explore a lesser-known side of his practice.
The selection on view includes a series of rare serigraphies, many of which are from limited editions and some that stand as unique pieces. These works highlight the artist's interest in form, color, and visual rhythm, as well as his ongoing exploration of printmaking as both a technical and expressive medium.
Several of the serigraphies presented were created as part of experimental processes, offering insight into Pareja’s working methods and creative inquiries. Through this exhibition, Galería de las Misiones continues its commitment to preserving and promoting the legacy of foundational artists in Uruguayan art history.
